Pretty inexperienced gardener here hoping someone with more knowledge can give me a tip.  Earlier tonight I spotted a single yellow mushroom peeking out of my echeveria's pot - Google suggests Leucocoprinus birnbaumii, apparently this is both common and harmless for the plant.

My concern is that I had some potted basil right next to it.  Assuming it did spread, I don't know whether there's any risk of the edible plant absorbing toxins from the known-to-be non-edible mushroom growing alongside it.  My impression after what research Google is good for these days is that it's not a problem, but I thought I'd check if the folks around here have any insight to compliment my total lack of gardening experience.

First picture is when I first noticed it, second is a day later (which it spent outside) having dried up.  I'm aware that this type of mushroom usually appears because of contaminated potting soil, fortunately I used a different soil for the basil.

My friend sent me this link!  I didn't read it but it should help :). She's the foraging queen and I trust her wholeheartedly
