Hi!

I am reaching out about a cnc job via the details below/attached. I am not a member of the space but wondering if you offer CNC services or if any members would want to take on this type of work.

I attached a drawing for the interlocking cocktail table with a few notes included, (material not final) I really only need one cnc of each component to be able to use as a template but in total, I'll be making 6 tables and would be able to do all the sanding/finishing .etc myself.

Inquiry: Do you take on/allow projects like this or would consider it if you have any time available? If so would you be able to get me a quote for cutting the full set or just one template out?

Let me know if you have any questions or need any additional info from me.

Talk soon,
Cody

Hi Cody,

This might be helpful:

https://wiki.milwaukeemakerspace.org/faq#can_i_hire_you_to_build_something

Basically you'd could hire a member, but the space would not be
involved. It would be between you and the other person.

Posting here is a good way to find someone! :)

Thanks Pete!

This FAQ is helpful–  I am totally willing to hire someone to run this job!

Do you know of anyone directly I could reach out to or is the group/community thread the best bet?
I am located in Chicago, but have family in MKE and could easily travel up and work on this if someone is willing to take it on with me.

I also read in another thread that the 4' x 8' cnc is/was down, but does anyone know if the other machines could accommodate a 42" x 30" project?

Thanks again!

Unfortunately both of our CNC routers are down indefinitely right now. Steve P is in charge of our CNC area, you could try reaching out to him.

The 4x8 should be back up on the weekend of Sep 18th. I however do not do paid cnc work. You would need to add keyholes on the internal corners or hand finish the edges for internal 90 degree corners.

Hi all,
I'm Chris, I was super excited when I found your group but have been struggling with the volume of emails. LIFE has kicked me in the PARTS BIN, so sifting through the copious e-mails is impractical.
WHEN I rebuild, I anticipatie plugging back in. Until then, I respectfully request that the beautiful minds of this platform temporarily remove my email from the list.

Happy to communicate soon,
Christopher J.
