Recycling gurus, I've got an old storage building sheathed in panels marked Inland and Ohio Metal "Copper Alloy" (pictures attached). Magnets stick to it so it must have a high content of iron or steel.

Does anyone know if these might fetch a higher scrap price than common scrap sheet metal? Connections for same?

I'm also contemplating the possibility of dismantling and relocating to use as a shed at a different location.

Any other thoughts on recovering value out of these old panels?

I believe the inside is factory original coating (the side with manufacturer markings), and the outside has a light coat of paint (picture attached).

If it helps in assessing vintage and possible metal composition, I believe this is the last of the old hangars that were relocated when the original Milwaukee airport - Maitland Field - was relocated from what is now the Summerfest grounds to the site of MKE Milwaukee Mitchell Int'l Airport.

Appreciate any and all advice.

Thanks,
Dan

I wonder if those are the sides of boxes that contained copper.

Basically anything that a magnet sticks to is considered sheet, at a few pennies a pound.

Thanks Tom, that's an interesting thought that I hadn't even considered. That would have been some pretty big containers as a lot of the sheets are in the neighborhood of 12 feet in length.

In any case I guess I'll not expect any substantial salvage value as scrap metal.

At this moment my best ideas for personal re-use would be a skid steer shed made from the back / narrow part, and maybe a boat shelter made from the front part. I think the look of that old metal is kind of cool, and I don't have any HOAs or anything to deal with on the destination end, but something like a modern Versatube shelter might be a lot easier to put up.
