Looks like the next 3D Printing meetup is this Sunday from 1-4 at Bucketworks.

I won an UP! 3D printer a little while ago, and am still figuring out how to use it. I'm planning on taking it to the meetup, setting it up, and hopefully get some good advice on calibration, use, project ideas, etc.

Ah yes!

Jesse set this one up, and is organizing it here:  http://www.meetup.com/3dpmke/

I may miss this one... or end up 3 hours late for it. :/

Dilemna.  Go to the meeting or my wife's birthday party.  Decisions!

I'll pass on this meet-up.  I'll probably be at the makerspace fabricating an extruder mounting bracket, mounting resistors on the print bed, etc.

Awesome, I've been waiting to see an UP! in action.

I'm attending, I'm bringing Max and the two Tantillus frames I'm working on.

How do you think we should organize this meetup? Should we continue doing a show-and-tell type event or maybe some type of unconference-like structure (like Barcamp)?

Unfortunately, I RSVP'd for the event but won't be able to make it.  Really wanted to see Ben's UP!

I'm working on a "Consumerization of Manufacturing deck that will be roughly 30 min in length and includes a demo where you use a Kinect and ReconstructMe to do rapid modeling but it won't be ready till Dec. Sorry. I plan on bringing the Max and the two Tantillus cases I'm working on.

Meeting was fun in that I got my UP! working right.

Thanks to Ed and other folks for giving me a hand. We got mine leveled, height adjusted, AND got the model to stick down to the perf-board.

I successfully printed a mini-die and a Maker Shot Glass. I'm feeling pretty confident now that I can print. Now I just have to learn 3D modeling.

I had a great time, Jeremy from PS1 helped us with our problem as well.

We're scheduled again next month, first Sunday of the month at 1pm. I'm assuming we'll get more people once football season is over.
