A friend of mine inherited an old original/vintage arcade game.

 

Zaxxon, the one where you sit and look down on the screen.

 

When playing it..  the plane/icon disappears when you move the joystick.

 

When it 'respawns'.. it shows back up again?  But in the demo.. as soon as it 'moves'..  it disappears again?

 

I have zero direction on how/where to trouble shoot things?

 

At first I was thinking.. perhaps a FPS thing?  And just a bad old school CRT monitor?  (20" one I believe)

 

But this not really my strong area….   anyone have any ideas? Suggestions?   Or know of a real deal vintage arcade guy who may be able to provide some help or advice?

 

Searching led to things about RAM/ROM testing?  (not sure how to even go about doing that though?..nor 'where'?)
