Do we have a communal and working lightbox at MM?

Also, do we have a designated dark room with red bulb?

If not, I was going to try and create a mini dark room in that storage closet in the Craft Lab.

The second-to-last vault is the "darkroom". I haven't seen a red bulb
yet, but I'm sure someone has one.

I don't remember seeing one...

How large of one do you want? I've made one in the past.

I think red leds would be better than an incandescent bulb with a filter.

The second to last vault is going to be the dark room. We have just got it wired for power, and are waiting on plumbing. We have a stainless sink and some table items in there already.

As far as a light table/box, no idea what happened to it. we can make another easily enough. I do have some darkroom lights and we can get them in there if you have a need for it right away.

Red LED strips have been a popular item in modern darkrooms. Red covers on florescent are tricky, but would work in a pinch. Being that we don't really have a fixture in there at the moment, I would vote for the LED strips. I have a standard screw-in lamp I'll bring in as well.

I have a large light table, about 3x6  (I need to check the actual size) it has dimmable fluorescent bulbs.
If there is a need and a place, I can bring it in.

Those things are awesome... Bucketworks used to have a bunch of them. We'd put stools around them and draw directly on the surface with dry erase markers or just use them as regular tables.

That would actually be pretty cool.  We'd be able to burn several screens at once.  We'd need an opaque cloth to put over it while burning or we'd kill everything else in the room.

I have an actual exposure box for burning screens. Light tables are not always the best for that. I was thinking this would make a really nice table for taking project photos and other things.

Tom, we want it. I know right where I would want to put it. It should be available for everyone.

The table I have is 44 x 60 and 36" tall.  The lit portion is about 42x56.

Where would it go if I brought it in?

In the main meeting room, near the door to the mud room entrance. I have a locked cabinet we were going to put there to do some film scanning and storing other equipment. There was some resistance to using the telecom room from nearly everyone who was in the discussion. Tom, I can talk about specific placement the next time I see you.

so we were going to go pick up the UV exposure unit at gondek's place.  That will probably be better than the light table Tom Gr is talking about if we are intending on using it for screens.
