If your house is a single or duplex, you aren't required by code to have a licensed designer, but it's never a bad idea either. I'd recommend checking
https://www.alatoday.org/wisconsin-chapter, the Association of Licenced Architects, over AIA. Nothing wrong with AIA except you'll probably find they're more interested in commercial, large scale projects, as well as give you crazy prices for service (in lieu of just saying 'no'). You could also work with a PE instead, there are some really great ones who can draw plans and do the calcs if you need them.
