DJI Mini 3 Pro Survives Cement Baptism: Customer Nominates Himself as Spokesperson
Shenzhen, China — DJI today announced the unlikeliest of durability test results: a DJI Mini 3 Pro has emerged fully functional after being unintentionally crash-landed into freshly poured wet concrete.
The pilot, Jim, a retired tinkerer, reported:
“I thought I had ruined it. I washed it off in the sink, swabbed it down with alcohol, dried it, and to my shock — it flies as good as new. If DJI needs a spokesperson, I’m available.”
DJI engineers emphasize that washing drones in the kitchen sink is not part of the official care instructions, but admit that Jim’s story highlights the Mini 3 Pro’s remarkable resilience.
“While we don’t recommend using construction materials or plumbing fixtures as part of your drone maintenance routine, we can’t deny we’re impressed,” said a DJI spokesperson. “Jim has, unintentionally, conducted the world’s first ‘Concrete Durability Trial.’ We salute him.”
DJI is currently not launching a “Sink Wash Edition” of the Mini 3 Pro, but Jim has been officially added to the list of “Unofficial DJI Legends.”
