I recall vividly a trip to universal studios when I came across a fountain that was taunting people that were passing by.  I really thought it was super neat.

I think we could do something similar with our exterior sign, which does not exist yet.  I think it would be pretty neat if the sign was interactive in a similar way, but also connected to the internet so anyone could control it from anywhere.  I'm imagining a plasma cut MMS logo with light up eyes that pwm when someone is talking.  Perhaps we could even have a button that makes sparks fly out of the soldering iron.  The sign would feed video to the web, and possibly send out alerts when someone is around to talk to.

Tell me this isn't a great idea!

Love the idea of an interactive sign.

Don't think the city will love the idea of sparks flying out of the soldering iron. We could make it glow, though....

Someone should check into the legality of interactive/moving signs before we get too far down the rabbit hole on this one. I vaugely remember something in there about that.

Well, we're in a residential neigborhood, I'm not sure the neighbors
would appreciate anything that makes noise.

But maybe something that tracks people as the walk across the McDonalds
parking lot...

Like sentry robots with laser pointer eyes?

We can submit it as an art installation.

Use a variation of Matt Juranitch's 3D scanner and show an outline silhouette of everything in the north end of the McDonalds lot using Dennis Draheim's laser gizmo.
