I have a meeting with a roofer at noon, so the doors open then to anyone who wants to take up some floor, I will need to run an errand in the afternoon but if a member is there the building can stay open.

The current plan:

noon to 10 or 11pm.

The east room is getting de-tiled then will need to have the frame dismantled.  Pickup all the tiles first before you start dismantling the frame.
The tiles get stacked in the dumpster starting at the front, leave the last 10' open for the last to air conditioners.

The weather is nice so I hope to start work on the roof units, at least disconnecting them from the building.

We still need to break down the other two air conditioners and process some of the scrap.

Come one, come all, its a wrecking good time!

Tom;

Can you start posting the exact address of the new building. All I found in previous posts were the crossroads. I was able to find it on a Google map. Might help some find it easier.

Thanks
Rodney

I'm from Waukesha. Our directions relate solely to landmarks. It's the
giant red building behind the liquor store and McDonalds on KK.

The building's address as listed on the electrical blueprints is 2555
South Lennox Ave.

The address is 2555 S. Lenox, Milwaukee Wi,  53207

Officially its at the intersection of Lenox and Otjen (how do you pronounce that?)

But Potter is the street that intersects KK and goes in front of the McDonalds.

I have been experimenting with driving routs, from the freeway its easiest to go down to Becher (even when you are coming from the South) and go over to KK, its a longer distance but quicker.

From the Chase I take Oklahoma to Howell, then North to Potter/Russell, its an odd left turn to stay on Potter and crossing KK is a bit tricky.

With the big truck I take Oklahoma to KK and KK to Potter.

If you drive down the alley watch for cars coming out of Siegel's, its a blind corner.

The doors we've been using are in the alley, though.

That reminds me-- will the 'space be able to receive mail there?
We might have to come up with a mailbox...

I wonder if we could put up a big mirror or something...
Or at least a caution sign.

Are you going to scrap those tiles?  That's a lot of steel...

Yep, we're scrapping the steel, as well as the aluminum & copper from the air conditioners and pipes.  Tom has many friends in the recycling industries.

I weighed the tiles today:

The east room is 33.5 lb each, the west room is 18.5lb, if you add in the frame and the chillers it should be about 60,000 lb!

The more help the merrier!
