Ruby Developer - Contract - MN, (Richfield, MN)
Target Start Date: November 25, 2014
Target End Date: February 1, 2015
Candidates must be eligible to work for any employer without any sponsorship.
Rate Guidance: $60-65/hr
Our client, a top national retailer, is looking for a collaborative Ruby Developer to help build operational tools for their Dotcom Operations. This role will collaboratively be working with, reporting to, and taking direction from current Ruby Developer. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working in an Apple MacBook development environment. Is self-directed and shares collective ownership for design decisions, comfortable in a pair programming environment. Strongly favors TDD and BDD development methodologies and is up to date with current tools and techniques.
Please include code sample of previous work with your resume to be considered. This Ruby Developer has a very high likelihood of extension.
MUST HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
* Ruby Developer Experience - PURE Ruby - Gem
* Working with Third Party API's
* Design Patterns
* Client Server Communication
* Object Oriented Programming
* Continuous Integration
* Queuing Technologies
* Deployment Automation
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
* OpenStack
* AWS or other Cloud Providers
* Ability to Listen
* Ability to offer ideas on technical direction
* Team Player
* Desire to contribute to overall direction of project
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Heads down developing
* Working in Paired Programming Environment
* Unit testing
* Quality Assurance of unit testing
* Deployments
* Work with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Chef and Vagrant
* Work with client/server models and queuing technologies (rabbitmq, redis, etc)
* Status update meetings
