I left Milwaukee 4 yrs. ago, so the town remains frozen in my mind as it
was. Recently, I heard a rumor that Marty Burns Wolfe left Channel 12. What
happened? What's the real skinny?

The tale we were given is she quit 12 to write. Rumor was she was
dismissed for being gay. She is negotiating with channel 58 to return to
tv. Vic

someone got smart.

unfortunately, I heard that she has been approached by channel 58 and
they are in negotiations. Too bad, as ch 58 has the best local team,
IMHO.

That's not true. If it was, she would have been dismissed years ago.

The speculation on her sexual preference has been going on for years.
As far as I know, she never "formally" came out.

She probably left because she could not stand being outdoors while
her colleagues were inside. Those sudden thunderstorms and the
equipment she was surrounded by probably helped make up mind.

Why is it that female anchors are always fired for their appearances, yet
people like Jerry Taft, Kevin Hunt, etc. still remain on t.v.? No one
can argue that they are a little thick in the thighs, can they? Their
apperance is nothing special to look at!!> > >

I doubt that she was canned for her looks, she wasn't really very good at
what she was paid to do.

That's for sure: Look at Mark Belling. He could be in a production of
Frankenstein with no make-up required, He gets his OWN show.

Marty Burns Wolfe along with the other anchors should get the same
treatment if appearance is that critical. Compared to other major cities,
Milwaukee anchors and TV personalities seem to fit the cheese eating
reputation the state brings on.

By the way, Kevin Hunt is out of hand. For a person anchoring sports, he
looks as if he has never done anything physical.
