Milwaukee area metal shop - couple of

Can anybody make a recommendation for a metal shop in the Milwaukee area? I have two requests.

• I need to cut down some longer/heavy metal cross members for some racking I have.
• I need some references for converting a single leg of 120 to add on to make three phase 240v.  I've seen this done in another shop a long time ago.

Where do you want 3 phase?    Residential service is 2 phases of 120, and you can gang them up for 240 v applications like stoves or clothes dryers.  

3 phase is for commercial and industrial and when all 3 legs are applied you have 480 v.   I may be wrong.   What are you trying to do?

Norm, 

You need a phase converter to do this.  You can buy either a solid state converter or a rotary phase converter.  Rotary is better but solid state is cheaper.  A VFD, variable frequency drive, is one form of solid state converter and will take single phase and output three phases.  There's one for sale below.
