Amending the U.S. Constitution to
END CORPORATE RULE
Mr. Richard Hobbs
Mr. Hobbs is the Santa Clara County
director of Move to Amend, a group working to enact the 28th
amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Today, rather than representing We the People, Congress
represents a few dozen large multi-national corporations that
influence and control our legislators by spending unlimited
corporate funds to help their political candidates win
elections.
The goal of Move to Amend is to fix this problem by
passing an amendment to the Constitution that will require
Congress and the U.S. Supreme Court to once again represent We
the People.
A licensed California attorney for over two decades, Mr. Hobbs has served in many different capacities including
Director of the Santa Clara County Office of Human Relations
Co-Founder and Executive of Services, Immigrant Rights and Education Network (SIREN)
Trustee for 16 years of the San Jose-Evergreen Community College District
Long-Term Member of the California Bar and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA)
The meeting will take place in the back room of Harry's Hofbrau, 390 Saratoga Ave., San José. Join us for dinner at 6 pm or just attend the meeting at 7 pm. For more information click DemocraticClub-SCC.org.
