Hi there and happy Friday!
You are receiving this email because you recently participated in a fracking event hosted by the Sierra Club Loma Prieta Chapter or said you were interested in our fracking campaign or I thought you may appreciate receiving this email. It's pretty scary that plans are being made to ramp up fracking in California with minimal/zero regulations to protect our water and public health. We hope you join the Sierra Club in our fight for protection against the many dangers of unregulated fracking.
What You Can Do:
- Join our fracking google group
- Send a letter to Governor Brown in support of a moratorium on fracking in California. Download your letter here.
- Save the Date: Gasland 2 Film Screening on Monday, 9/9 6:30pm at Patagonia (525 Alma St Palo Alto, CA 94301)
- Become a volunteer! The following volunteer roles are open. Time commitment is about 5-15 hours/month depending on your role.
- Blogger/Social Media/Communications Support (1 volunteer needed)
- Graphic Designer (1 volunteer needed)
- Assistant Researcher (2 volunteers needed)
- Outreach Team Co-Chair (1 volunteer needed)
- Communications Coordinator (1 volunteer needed)
- Fracking Committee Spokesperson (1 volunteer needed)
- Fracking Committee Organizer (1 volunteer needed)
- Donate to the Chapter to support our campaign - we need another $4,000 to reach our $9,000 goal. We need funds for lawsuits, events, printing, travel, staff time, etc.
- Forward this email to anyone you think would be interested in joining our campaign.
Thank you for considering joining our fracking campaign. For more information,
check out our website.
In service,
Megan
