TheMoana World Premiere happened this week in Los Angeles with a star-studded BLUE carpet premiere and party. I had the very special opportunity to be a guest on the blue carpet event and am thrilled to be able to tell you all about the Moana Red Carpet Premiere.

For the Moana event, Sunset Blvd in front of the El Capitan Theatre was blocked off and a beautiful staging area is set, with a gorgeous blue carpet. The Pacific was brought into downtown Hollywood, as the Moana party area was filled with all types of food and activities that you would find on a Pacific island. There was a big step & repeat area with countless journalists with their cameras, followed by an area for on-camera interviews. The carpet is set with many scenes to take pictures in front of the characters & movie titles before it leads you into the movie.

As exciting as the red carpet is, the party is so much more relaxed and fun. Filled with Polynesian-themed food & drinks, you get a true taste of the islands. The party was filled with fun sponsors & activities. Everyone was given a pair of Havaianas flip flops and you could make a shell necklace and get a temporary tattoo. And of course, we had to get this fun picture:

Warner Bros has a lot riding on the June 2 premier of Wonder Woman, their big entry into this summer's superhero stakes and the next step forward on the so-far rocky path toward establishing the DC Cinematic Universe. Last night, the film had its "blue carpet" premiere at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood for a select audience of VIPs, including many of the team responsible for the character's successful current run in DC Comics (published by DC Entertainment, a division of Warner Bros.).

Wonder Woman debuted in October, 1941 and began starring in her own comics in 1942, so the movie is being considered part of the character's 75 anniversary celebration. The new film starring Gal Gadot in the title role, with Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Connie Nielsen and Elena Anaya, builds on the storyline established in last year's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, in which Wonder Woman's brief appearance in the final act was considered a highlight.

Wonder Woman has always been one of DC's "big three" (along with Superman and Batman), an iconic character big enough to leap off the pages of comics into other media, notably the 1970s television series starting Lynda Carter. Originally created by progressive-minded psychologist William Moulton Marston in the early 1940s as an exponent of proto-feminist values, the character has had ups and downs over the years and depends heavily on the sensibility of whatever creative team is doing the book to strike the right balance. The varied characterizations of Wonder Woman over the years and Warner Bros' recent uninspiring onscreen renditions of Superman and Batman have ratcheted up the pressure on Wonder Woman to deliver the goods.

Over the past months, fans have expressed concern over everything from the tone of the movie to the marketing. DC, already playing catch-up at the box office to rival Marvel's cinematic juggernaut, has pulled good financial returns from its past two films BvS and Suicide Squad, but disappointed critics with incoherent plots and the dark, heavy mood. Fans are not only hoping that Wonder Woman breaks that streak, but also demonstrates the financial viability of a franchise tentpole anchored by a strong female lead.

Word of mouth leading up to the premiere was already turning favorable, with box office estimates for the opening weekend ranging from $65 million to $105 million. Now that the film has had its first public screening, albeit to the most sympathetic possible audience, we will start to get more first hand reports.

"There's so much to love about this movie," said Liam Sharp, artist on the current Wonder Woman series. "Gal is particularly good at the guileless, fish-out-of-water humor, and she's just extremely charming. It has -much like Indiana Jones - that Saturday morning matinee feel, adventure for all the family. And, in the end, it's all about hope and love - and we could all do with a bit of that. Looking forward to seeing it again!"

Sharp, an industry veteran who has dazzled readers with his elaborate artwork on Wonder Woman over the past year, was joined by fellow creators Margueritte Bennett, Trina Robbins, Shea Fontana, Greg Potter, Steve Leialoha, Nicola Scott, Len Wein, Brian Azzarello, Cliff Chiang, Marc Andreyko, James Bonny and Tony Daniel. Company executives Diane Nelson (President, DC Entertainment & President, Warner Bros. Consumer Products), Dan DiDio and Jim Lee (co-publishers of DC Comics), Geoff Johns (DC Entertainment President and Chief Creative Officer), and Warner Bros. Co-President of Production Jon Berg were also on hand, as was Christie Marston, granddaughter of Wonder Woman's creator.

I had SUCH a fun week at the #RalphBreakstheInternetEvent hosted by Disney. A group of about 24 bloggers and I flew to Los Angeles and got to attend the world premiere of Ralph Breaks the Internet! We walked the BLUE carpet, saw the movie at the El Capitan Theatre with many of the talent behind the film AND attended the after party at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

There are lots of photo spots along the wall down the carpet and they had some fun spots set up to snap a quick photo as well. We pair up with another blogger to make sure we always have someone to help us get photos. My friend Kate from Highlights Along the Way was my photo and party buddy for this trip and we had some fun with the photos.

Once you walk the carpet and are ready to enter the theater they secure your phones in a case so that no photos/video/audio can be taken. We are assigned seats and have a chance to grab a bucket of hot popcorn and a drink before we sit down.

Here i am right before i drove to the premiere with Dory! it was fun to get dressed up..in blue of course, ready for a night of fun.I arrived at the red carpet...which was actually BLUE in honor of the ocean, just in time to see the celebrities arrive to the premiere and walk the blue carpet.

After the movie, the after party started! there was live music, food, activities and lots of people having a great time. It was pretty exciting to recognize the celebrities from our favorite movies and television shows walking around at the party.

Disclaimer: Disney*Pixar, Disney Channel and Disney XD sent me to Los Angeles on an all-expenses paid trip, in exchange for my coverage of these events, which included the FINDING DORY red carpet world premiere. All opinions are my own.

Twenty-four incredible bloggers and I were shuttled over to Hollywood from our hotel. We stayed at the luxurious Sheraton Universal hotel during this trip, just minutes from Hollywood Blvd, our ultimate destination.

So once we had walked the red (blue) carpet, it was into the theatre we went. Pretty good seat, huh? Yes, I was sitting just rows away from Ellen herself while watching FINDING DORY. No photos from inside though, as phones/cameras are taken away from us during the actual showing of the film.

There is so much fun to be had at a premiere party. This time there were green screens to get creative with, a live band, a huge sand sculpture and check out the tattoo I got. Okay, so it was temporary, but oh, so fun!

The giveaway is open to residents of the US only, ages 18 and up. It will end on 6/27/16 at 11:59 PM EST. From the moment I opened the email and spent a good five minutes screaming in excitement about going to the A Wrinkle In Time world premiere, all I did was think about how beautiful the carpet was sure to be. The movie itself is a magical treat, and the blue carpet met the challenge of creating the same feeling.

In our interviews of the cast and director, that word came up a lot. The goal of the movie is to have kids feel a certain way. The energy at the premiere definitely had me in my feels. There was so much girl power, women hugging each other, laughing, and celebrating being in the space together. Even the group of 25 bloggers that I was in felt extra supportive and together that night.

First, let me tell you about the premiere itself. The blue carpet was filled with media outlets interviewing the stars. We saw everyone from Storm Reid and Levi Miller to Tracee Ellis Ross and Kobe Bryant! Everyone showed up to support the young stars of the movie and the amazingly gracious and lovely director Ava DuVernay.

Thankfully we screened the movie on Saturday night, so I did see it, and has affected me more than I expected. I got to walk the carpet. I was able to interview some of my favorite people. Most importantly, I spent time with colleagues who mean the world to me, and discovered a few things about myself that I needed to discover.

A Wrinkle In Time opens on March 9, 2018 and stars Storm Reid as Meg Murry, Levi Miller as Calvin, Deric McCabe as Charles Wallace, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Mrs. Murry, Mindy Kaling as Mrs. Who, Reese Witherspoon as Mrs. Whatsit, and Oprah Winfrey as Mrs. Which. The film is directed by Ava DuVernay.

I am so sorry to hear you got sick friend. I got very sick during a press trip last year and had to go to the hospital alone and it was scary, so I can empathize with how you felt. I hope you are feeling better.
