This month, Picture + Panel explores humanity's closest brushes with extinction with Meera Subramanian and Katy Doughty. What does it take to keep a world alive? Join us for a conversation about climate, action, and hope. WBUR environmental correspondent Barbara Moran will moderate.

All BCAF events are free to attend.  If you wish to pay it forward, a $5 suggested donation helps sustain BCAF's comics advocacy and educational programming in the Greater Boston area.

Roxbury Makes Comics 2026

Roxbury Makes Comics is a 4-day intensive drawing workshop series with a focus on comics! Led by cartoonist and educator Dave Ortega the workshops will cover character design, setting, dialogue, and storytelling. In order to complete your week-long project, attendance at all four sessions is required.

Wednesday (4/8), Gamal will be in from 11am-3pm; Kelly will be in from 3-7pm.

Thursday (4/9), Tony will be in the shop from around 11a-7pm.

Friday (4/10), Tony will be in the shop from around 11am-7pm.

Saturday (4/11), Tony will be the shop from around 11am-7pm.

Sunday (4/12), Kelly will be in from 11am-3pm; Gamal will be in from 3-7pm.
