It's your LAST CHANCE to enroll in Heide Solbrig's COMICS JOURNALISM class! It starts THIS Tuesday, 24 March 2026! Runs from 6:30-9:30pm on Tuesdays and ends 5 May 2026.

Graphic storytelling can be a beautiful and emotive way to tell larger social and political stories that give us insight into the lives of others. This course will focus on how to develop a visual journalistic ‘voice’ in comics, how to work quickly and with an editor and some basic ethics for journalism in the graphic form. Each student will choose a topic to research and represent visually while researching a venue where it could be released into the public sphere.

Hans Rickheit Gallery Opening

The original opening for Untimely Monuments got completely obliterated by January’s East Coast Megablizzard. Rather than gamble on more weather chaos, he pushed things out a bit.

Boston Comics In Color Festival

The Boston Comics in Color Festival [BCICF] is a family-friendly event for all ages focusing on creators of color and stories by and about people of color. This event takes place in person the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center on the campus of Roxbury Community College (RCC) and is the first of its kind in the city of Boston. The event includes event headliner(s); special guest speakers; panel discussions with working artist and writers, workshops, cosplay contest, live art demos, as well as an artist alley for comic creators to share and sell their books, materials, artwork. ​​​​​​

Roxbury Makes Comics 2026

Roxbury Makes Comics is a 4-day intensive drawing workshop series with a focus on comics! Led by cartoonist and educator Dave Ortega the workshops will cover character design, setting, dialogue, and storytelling. In order to complete your week-long project, attendance at all four sessions is required.
