Lastnight I installed the trial version of Sony Vegas and worked with it. I am liking it so far. If/when I pay for the subscription version, Vegas 365, does the watermark on the work I have done dissapear or do I have to start the job all over again?

Hi John_Dennis. I am not saving the watermark. Vegas puts the Watermark on the trial version of their software. So what you are saying is, if I pay for the software, any work I did during the trial period will still be watermarked when rendered, even if I pay?

@MagixDerek Vegas needs to make it abundantly clear that if a potential client invests time and effort into this software for professional use that the watermarks will dissapear once payment is made. The other concern is that I am looking at Vegas 365, whereas the trial denotes Vegas 15, which could be considered another product. My understanding is that they are the same, but different payment terms. Sometimes it takes a while for me to use the software and then discover the bugs and gotchas that are a deal breaker. But there are things in Vegas that I really like, so far.

By using your editing skills to reduce the length of the project on the timeline to under 2 minutes. If your project is much longer than 2 minutes, save the project under a new name and then delete the excess video and audio until there is less than 2 minutes on the timeline. Please take into account that the aim of the trial version is simply to give you a sample (trial) of the rendering options.

where the marker still moving? I think @NAZIRASYAFIKAH-ROZLAN is confused by the playhead (which he calls the marker) automatically playing a few seconds after the end of the project. I think that he thinks because of this, that the project is more than 2 minutes.

I think there is no need to remove everything after the 2 min mark to be able to make a testrender with the trial. Just make a loop region (less than 2 min) of the part of your project that you want to testrender and render that loop region.

@Himer-Peter That won't always work. You can get a list of events on the timeline. Open the Details window, CTRL-ALT-4, or from the menu View > Window > Edit Details. Change the filter from "selected events" to just "events". You will get a list of all events on the timeline, track-by-track, and their position on the timeline.

Stating the obvious ... to gain full functionality of Vegas Pro, you'll need to purchase the product. After all, that is the purpose of a trial version - to provide a taste of the product that the company hopes will end in a sale.

This is my first time trying it out because I have a project to work with and it involves MP4 files. So I installed the trial version of VEGAS Pro (16) like normal. Then once I've started it, I put in the unique code to enter the trial. But then I click start, it loads until video plug-in then it just closes. I have tried most of what I can, like re-installing, cleaning the directory, running it as admin and nothing seems to have worked for me. Oddly, I tried DaVinci Resolve, and that did a similar problem to this program where it just loads for a couple of seconds then closes down without any error messages. So far 2 days of trial have now been wasted.

^That depends on if they mean discrete cores or threads. I've edited in Vegas using weaker systems than that. The plugin not loading thing is an old issue that has been discussed (and solved) here before. Try this workaround:

I really appreciate the fast reply, I've sent two tickets, still no reply from them. I am slightly worried and I genuinely hope my hardware isn't the main issue here. I did not have FX Home Hitfilm Ignite Pro plugin, is that necessary to have? And also, @fr0sty I tried your method, it started to load a bit more this time, but then lead me to false hope and came up with a new problem sadly...

Okay, we're making progress at least. It appears to be an issue with your graphics card, judging by the mention of AMD in the error message.make sure you have the most up-to-date drivers for your video card. Also do you have an onboard video card in addition to a discrete one? I've heard of issues we're both were present at the same time.

Go to your Controle Panel, than to Device Manager and look for your Display Adapter (s).

Richtclick on it (them) and look for the Properties at name and driverversion.

If you could make screenshots and share those here on the forum

Thanks.

I tried my laptop with the same driverversion you use ( the newest) >>>no problem to start Vegas.

So probably it must be something else.

When I look at your Device manager it strikes me that only 1 display adapter is listed, while you must have another one available from your Intel processor, the Intel HD Graphics 630.

If so you have the possibility to disable one by one in the Device Manager looking if disabling the NVidia and only working only with the Intel 630 gives a solution for your problem.

After disabeling (rightclick on it in Device manager) you will have the possibility all the time to reanable it again.

No worries. An onboard video card means that your motherboard came with a video card built directly onto it. Many modern motherboards will come with something. If you have an intel CPU, all but the highest end CPUs they make come with onboard graphics on the same chip, usually called something like "Intel HD xxxx (3-4 numbers that denote the model of the GPU). It's the intel onboard GPUs I've heard reports of causing issues with Vegas sometimes, when paired with a discrete GPU.

A discrete GPU is a graphics card that is plugged into one of the PCI express slots on your motherboard, and can be removed from it and upgraded without having to buy a new motherboard. Those tend to be the most powerful of the bunch, so if you want max power you always want to buy a discrete GPU card when buying parts for your new computer.

Judging by that error report, you either have an AMD onboard GPU, or an AMD discrete card. Disabling your discrete card (if you have one) like suggested above might help to sort this out. If you disable that card and it boots ok, then we know there is a driver issue and we can either find a working driver or I can forward that incompatibility on to the dev team so they can address it.

What's your base for this judge report.

Both my machines have never heard of or seen something of AMD, although both has that file on their Windows System 32.

So I must have also an AMD on board of discrete card?????? Rediculous!!!!!!!

Better trying to help somebody who is asking for help than writing nonsens.

Hey no need for unnecessary arguments. I have good news and I have got it to start working!

What I've done is to use DDU and re-installed my drivers then I tried that "OFX.OLD" step then refreshed and it miraculously worked! Thank you guys for your support and it means a lot!

I have been trying to convert my friend from Final Cut to Vegas Pro as on several occasions he asks me to produce some bits and pieces for him in Vegas Pro V18 that do not seem possible in Final cut. So he refreshed his Windows 10 PC and downloaded the Trial version, Filled in the Email and clicked. The email was sent but never got any reply. He has checked the Local Span box and also the WEB server Span box but nothing, That was 5 days ago. He did check to make sure the email address ( a BT one ) was correct ).

So I resurrected an old PC with Windows 10 and download the Vegas Pro V18 trial version and entered my email address. I triple checked it was correct and clicked. That was 2 days ago and no reply as yet. Have checked Spam boxes local and WEB..

The VEGAS team will be selecting new testers based on several criteria including experience, usage, and system specifications. We are looking to add some diversity in our program so we will be looking to add novice users and lower end system along with professional users and high-end machines. However, we do have a limited number of slots available for new beta testers, so not everyone who has applied will be able to join the team.

We intend to contact everyone who has been selected to join the team by the middle of February. At this point, we will require those who have been selected to sign a non-disclosure agreement and to create an account on the VEGAS User Forum (if you do not already have one).

Thanks for the reply. Guess there was some mix up as it was just a standard Trial and not a Beta, but after uninstalling and reinstalling and registering again I got a email back in about 2 mins. Have not yet checked with my FCP friend to see if he has also got it works

I was wondering if I am still able to use Vegas Pro with older versions, such as Vegas 13, 14, or 15, etc. I'm using windows 10 at the moment with a trial version of Vegas 13 and decided to purchase the Pro version mainly to get rid of the watermark but I couldn't find a way to purchase it. All I would get was a download/trial for the most recent version of Vegas. Is there still a way that I can purchase Vegas 13 Pro? If so, where and how?

Sony Vegas is an advanced video editing tool that has multiple features enabling the user to edit video in high quality with numerous effects. Among all the video editing tools, people prefer Sony Vegas because of its tools and creative solutions. It includes motion flow, rendering, motion tracking, and also storyboarding. These features are unmatched, and you cannot find them in any other video editing tool.

It comes with a trial version that one can use for 30 days. But the trial version includes a watermark after the edit. But you can remove the watermark without any hassle. In this article, we will talk about how to get rid of this watermark for free.

Once you are done editing your video with Sony Vegas, you will see a watermark appearing on the video. This watermark does not please anyone. It is a way of showing that the version you are using is not paid. To be able to remove this watermark, you can either pay for it, which we will discuss later in the article, or use watermark removing tools like iMyFone MarkGo.
