Update on the planning commission meeting.

 Last night the planning commission did not approve the right only egress from Peabody School.  If fact,  they did not approve any new egress from the school.    Cars leaving Peabody will continue to use the original entrance and exit on Stoney Point Dr, and out to Southern Parkway.     I also found out that there is  going to be a traffic study done for Avon extended corridor  including the Mill Creek and Southern Parkway intersections by VDOT.  Unfortunately, the results of this study are probably a year away. 

Thanks to our Board members, who prepared an official response letter to the commission and  spoke up against this proposal, as well as other neighborhood who took the time to speak against this proposal.    I have to say I was quite impressed with the commission.  They very thoughtfully considered every proposal before the board, as well as listened to all parties with a sense of fairness.
