Browsing for "turn off notification badge android xperia facebook" only gives me hits regarding Samsung TouchWiz and iPhone, and I so far haven't been able to locate anything in the menu of the app either.

Also I tried to delete FB account from account menu in Setting, then reboot and add only Xperia with facebook, but after confirming all required fields nothing happens. I can only add original FB, but can't add xperia with facebook.

I have the same problem described here _cant_install_facebook_or_messenger_on_nougat... . After update my Sony Xperia Z5 Compact to Android 7.0 (Nougat) I can't update my Facebook, Messanger or Site Manager App form Facebook. My girlfriend, same smartphone and android version, have the same problem. I tried to clear Playstore Cache, reboot, re-enable com.facebook.appmanager and com.facebook.system - nothing works. I also tried to make a fresh reinstall of these apps, but also error 505 - so I'm unable to install Facebook, Messanger etc anymore too.

i cannot install/upgrade the facebook and messager app since my xperia z5 was upgraded to android 7. I read a lot of thread on this issue, most of the solution is make a factory reset. However, some of the ppl claimed that there is a patch from Sony and everything works after installed the patch. May I know whether it is real? Any settings should be set so that I can receive the patch?
