Hello,
I am also new. I have been using the cream to make uncooked ice
creamand the last batch turned out great! I tried mozarella with some
milk but it didn't turn out so I look forward to the class. We have
made homemade yogurt for a long time and the raw milk works great! I
was wondering if anyone has suggestions about the best way to separate
the cream. I used a baster but it is a little messy and awkward with
the jars. Also, how does one get kefir grains?
Thanks for the input
Jennifer

I use a gravy ladle to get the cream out - but I also use the 1/2 gallon wide mouth Ball jars.

I'd also love any ice cream recipes people have tried. I got a kitchen aid ice cream attachment for Christmas and can't wait to put it to use.

Try this first link, a database for kefir grains. I just got some.
There are also two groups where grains are sometimes offered.

Good Luck!

Wendy, (or anyone else) where do you get the widemouth 1/2 gallon
jars? I've been looking all over!

Thank you,
Peggy
