If anyone will be gone and can't pick up their milk, please let me
know. I'll buy your milk while you are gone.

I own a half share and will be gone for 2 months - October and
November. When it gets closer to that time, I'll post again to see if
anyone would like to use my share of milk while I'm gone.

Is that legal? When I went on vacation I gave my milk to some friends
who also own milk shares. I never considered selling it because I did
not want to put the farm or the milk share program at risk by doing
anything illegal. I have heard horror stories about how militant the
health department deals with raw milk and the fact that it is illegal
to buy it in this state.

Hello,
What I would propose is that the person who would like Bonnie's milk for the 2 months she is gone, would also pay for Bonnie's boarding fee.  Kind of like leasing out her half share while she's gone.  The buyer wouldn't pay her, they would pay Green PAstures.
Think that one over:)

Bonnie,

If I don't find someone to split another half share with me before
that, I may very well be interested in having you "lease" your half
share to me for the 2 months you are gone and I will pay the boarding
fee. Thanks.

Betsy, that's a great idea. I will be gone all of October and
November.

To all: I will sub-lease my share for that time. Just let Betsy and
me know ahead of time, and pay the monthly fee for the half-share to
Green Pastures. I have pickup on Saturday. If you want a different
day, you would have to work it out with Betsy.
