Hi,
I just bought my 1/2 cow share last weekend and I'm so happy to
finally have access to raw milk.. I love this forum, too.
Half-gallon wide mouth canning jars: I bought a 6-pack, but only need
two of them. If anyone wants to buy any of the other four at my cost
($2 each), let me know. Peggy?
Butter: I tried to make butter in my Vitamix according to the posts
here. I ended up with very hot frothy cream. Maybe I need to set it
at a slower speed? I'll try it again sometime.
Kefir: I'm looking forward to making some. Does anyone have any
starter grains I could buy?

Bonnie,
You may want to save the jars they come in handy for lots of things
especially making yogurt, kefir and storing.

I'd LOVE to have some half gallon wide mouth jars! But, true, you may find them very handy for other things!
I will ask though, where did you get them? I'm going to guess it's FAR from my house. LOL (I live about 18 miles north of Muskegon)
Maybe I could mail you a check to buy a 6 pack for me? You could leave them at the farm with my name on them.
My hubby picks up our milk on Thurs. evenings.
Let me know if that would work!

Kris........I emailed you at your email address but haven't gotten a
reply. .I buy the jars tomorrow (Wednesday July 1st) at Rylee's and
leave then at the farm. I think I can drop them off tomorrow late
afternoon. I'll put your name on them.
