Standard definition
  • Line 1: length of a pixel in the x direction (horizontal)
  • Line 2: angle of rotation (is usually 0 or ignored)
  • Line 3: angle of rotation (is usually 0 or ignored)
  • Line 4: negative length of a pixel in the y direction (vertical)
  • Line 5: x coordinate at the center of the pixel in the top left corner of the image
  • Line 6: y coordinate at the center of the pixel in the top left corner of the image

I wonder what metric line 1 and 4 is in your JGW/PGW exports. And how and if i can convert it to Pixels per meter

The new optional JGW and PGW exports are in an experimental state. We do follow the definition found on wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_file

Regarding your question on the unit line 1 and 4:
The units of the numbers are WGS84 degree / pixel. So, the matrix transforms point on image into a point of WGS84 space.
