Hi

This is my first time using this.
This thing is amazing. Congratulations on your hard work.

I don't know if anyone has already asked but is it possible to import our own pictures for the unit symbols?

Thank you

Hi Noboru,

thank you for your message and great to hear that you are using https://www.map.army.

Import/Create custom military symbols:
Our team was investigating this issue for some time now and we came up with a more flexible approach which is maintaining interoperability according to MILX, JC3IEDM and FMN.
We have introduced the Icon Extension Modifier which enables you to place and position an icon into a military symbol. Please try the following steps:

1. Start https://www.map.army
2. Go to the Options Menu and set the Work Mode to Extended

3. Select a Symbol from the Gallery and place it onto the map

4. Select the placed Symbol and open the Modifier Menu in the MSS Symbol Editor

5. Click on Icon Extension Indicator and select an Icon

6. The Icon can now be sized and vertically positioned using the following inputs

7. Select 'None' to remove an Icon

Hint: Two Icon Extension Indicators are supported for every symbol. Please let us know if you are missing an icon in the provided set and we will try to enable it in one of the next releases.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have further questions on https://www.map.army.

Best Regards
Martin from the map.army team
