Hello,

i have got some trouble when I add more  than one Layer. As soon as I try to work with a second layer it is not longer possible to add military symbols.

Does anyone has a solution?

Best Regards

Hi Dominik,

thank you for your message and great to hear that you are using https://www.map.army.
Please ensure that the new layer is set as active. This is the layer which can be edited:

Check the following GIF on how to create a new layer, setting it as active and placing a symbol onto it:

Use the following function to move one or multiple symbols (multiselect using Ctrl) from one to another layer.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have further questions on https://www.map.army.

Best Regards

Hi there,

somehow my answer to your post got deleted.

Once again, thank your for your swift response. The problem remains that I can add Symols to the first layer. As soons as I try to add Symbols to a second layer the button on the top right corner is greyed out and not functional. I hope you can fix because the app is really helpful.

I have got one additional question: Is it possible to request to add symbols wich are not yet included?

Best Regards

Dominik

Guten Tag Dominik

Once you have created the new layer you have to make it active. This is the equivalent of selecting a physical layer on the map which you choose for editing. You can do this by clicking on the layer:

--> The pen icon should be visible. This way, symbols can be placed on the selected layer (+ icon is active again).

We strictly follow the MIL-STD-2525C to provide the baseline for interoperability. Hints:

1. Did you use the 'MSS Symbol Search' function for Military Symbols? The 'Symbol Gallery' only list a small sub set of the symbols (~15%).

2. Did you check the Extended Mode?
