Offline version

Can this application be used offline? can it be downloaded from the internet and used on a computer without an internet connection?

Keep in mind that this application does not cost you anything, it is free. But let's understand that nothing is free on the Internet. This means that all the information you enter can be freely transferred to third parties. If there was an offline version, then the use of the information you provide by third parties may be limited. This is probably one of the reasons why there is no offline version. So it is up to you to decide whether it is worth entering any real data in your real area of ​​operations ;) This is just my opinion :))

Regarding your question, we do provide the following two offline options:

1. Web Application as seen on https://www.map.army to be installed on closed networks or individual PC's.
2. Windows based application (MssDraw and MssComposer) https://www.gs-soft.com/CMS/en/products/mssstick-mss-and-milx/news

Why are we offering https://www.map.army for free?
The web application is a pure demonstrator of the capabilities of our backend services, which are used to enable military symbology for different solutions. In our opinion we do only see the real use cases, issues and bugs with real users.
In addition, our web application provides a way to demonstrate interoperability (up to a certain limit).

You are correct, we do benefit from you testing the application and the backend services. But we would like to emphasize that we are not transferring, sharing or storing any information a user generates on https://www.map.army

Thank you for your question. The standalone solutions are free for individual users.

The deployment of the solution in an organization or unit (multiple users) is typically done on a project basis as the deployment does require some adaptation as for example setting up specific map-services. Such a deployment is done on a contract basis.
