Good Afternoon Representative Sheehan,
Thank you for sharing the information. I will be meeting with Mike Thornton, Chair of the Energy Advisory Committee, this week to discuss the creation and distribution of a public notice (along with instructions). I’d like to align with other towns to ensure Milford residents are informed, allowing them to make well-informed decisions about their energy prices.
Again, thank you.
Regards,
Lincoln Daley
Town Administrator

Good afternoon,
It has come to my attention that on March 3, 2025 community power rates will increase to 9.7 cents while Eversource rates will drop to 8.29 cents. I am wondering if the BOS or the Energy Advisory Committee will provide instructions to residents (who were automatically opted into community power) on how to switch back to their prior carrier/supplier. I am hearing of other towns offering to put the notice and instructions on their website or in their newsletter as a service to residents who are at risk of paying higher electric rates than necessary due to no fault of their own.
Thank you,
Rep. Sheehan
