Subject: Cancellation of meeting, 1 June 2023 until 13 July unless notified.

Members;

During our last meeting, 18 May 2023, we discussed that our scheduled timeline forecast no events on our required list until 13 July.  Therefore there is no reason to have a meeting until then.

I will track events with Standard Power closely and call a next meeting if required by anything before our previously scheduled meeting.

None of our required milestones will be due until after our agreed upon July 2023 meeting.  That meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Milford Police Department’s Training Room.

If anyone thinks of any agenda items, in addition to the one about net metering from Ms. Manns to Mr. Lawrence, attached, please forward them to me for inclusion on our next agenda.  If anyone thinks of any reason for meeting sooner, please notify me immediately.

Thanks kindly,

Question - for our 13 July 2023 meeting:
From Mr. Lawrence to Ms. Manns: (Wednesday, 26 April 2023 email)

In one of our discussions you said that a net metering customer like me would be better off opting out of the Community Power Plan. I’d like to discuss this at an upcoming meeting.

In preparation for our educational outreach, I’d like to put together a note that explains how to decide whether or not a net metering customer should opt out. There are at least two variables to be accounted for:
  • Which net metering regime the customer is under. I don’t recall exactly when the rules changed, but the older system I’m using does all accounting in kWh vs the current system uses dollars.
  • How much power the customer is generating. I’m running a small surplus (so I never pay any supply charge), but many solar system customers still pay for some power.
