Hey Lori,

Appreciate the response and looping us in on the town's community power program discussion with EMC Power. A couple quick things I wanted to note:

  1. Timing: The Milford Community Power rate was locked in prior to the energy market spikes from the brutally cold winter and Iran conflict, making it advantageous in the short term but with no long-term budget certainty security. With that said, it only extends until November 2027 meaning that Milford will need to shop for a new Community Power rate in the next 12 months.

  1. Load Factor: Community power programs typically apply one blended rate across all participating residential and commercial accounts. If the municipal buildings have a strong load factor (steady, consistent higher usage), they likely will be able to obtain better pricing on their own. Large aggregations essentially create winners and losers, small users with less attractive load profiles (like residential) typically benefit while larger users with attractive load profiles subsidize the smaller users and pay higher prices than they might have otherwise. We'd be happy to run this analysis at no cost so you can see exactly where the municipal buildings land and which route is most cost-effective.

The last thing I wanted to mention, I know our relationship is still new following the transition from Standard Power, but I'd welcome the chance to properly introduce myself and the company to you and the Energy Committee, whether that's a quick call, or coming by in person to put a face to the name.

Best,

John

Dear Lori,

I am writing to share some important news. Standard Power has joined Priority Power Management (PPM), a leading energy advisory firm helping clients navigate energy markets and reduce costs. This transition reflects our commitment to delivering even greater value to you as a client.

Your existing supply contracts and terms remain fully intact — no action is required on your part.  The level of service you have come to expect will continue without interruption. Furthermore, any hydroelectric net metering contracts that you are a party of will continue with Standard Power and there is no change to terms, nor is action needed.

Going forward, your dedicated PPM energy advisor will be John Duros. They will be your primary point of contact, is copied on this e-mail and can be reached at jdu...@prioritypower.com. John will be reaching out shortly to introduce themselves and ensure a seamless transition.

We appreciate your continued trust and look forward to serving you through this next chapter.

Sincerely,

Ryan Polson
