Dark Mode is an extension that helps you quickly turn the screen (browser) to dark at night time.Toolbar button serves as an ONOFF switch which enables you to easily and quickly turn the extension ON or OFF. If you do not like the current dark theme, please visit the options page and choose a different theme from over 50 available options. There is also a white-list feature which enables you to exclude a desired domain from dark mode. Simply add a domain(s) to the designated area (comma separated) in the options page and the websites will be excluded from night mode. Alternatively, you can use the context-menu item in mouse right-click to exclude desired websites. To report bugs, please fill out the bug report form on the add-on's homepage ( -mode.html).

Hey, I recently downloaded the new Version fr M1 Apple. Now the white background turned into black as we know it from night mode. I could not find any settings where I can change it back to day mode. I really need that because I cannot learn from white on black. Can somebody help or do I need to change back to the previous version?

I know someone else has probably already suggested this, but here I go. There needs to be a night mode for ASIAIR. I live in Savannah,Georgia and we have bugs. They love to come out at night, and they are attracted to white light. They love it.? I do not love them.? A black or dark grey background with maybe red or yellow features(you figure out which is the best contrast), would not be nearly as appealing to the little buggers as the white. The mosquitoes are attracted to the light, but then move on to the main course, me. The reflection of the white light also reflects on my reading glasses, adding another target for the mosquitoes, who like to get between the glasses and my eyeballs. Please help

If you use iOS, there is a Color Filter option, in Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Color Filters. You can select Red by choosing Color Tint, and pushing the Hue slider all the way to the right or to the left (that slider wraps around the hue angles), for example. Here is a tutorial that I found:

With a Color Filter, the iOS display may look better under Light Mode than Dark Mode (under Settings > Display & Brightness). You just have to try and see which you prefer. And perhaps turn off TrueTone also.

Using the iOS built-in Color Filter is less than a great solution. Several of the UI elements in the ASIAir app are almost pure green. These become effectively invisible when the red color filter is enabled. If there were a way around that it would be a reasonable solution (I generally have this color filter enabled anyway while observing).

You can have more than one Call Flow Control setup. This would mean there would be more than one Call Flow Control (Day-Night Mode) available to use in the Feature Codes. The 0 index is to denote this is the FIRST Call Flow Control feature code toggle and it impacts that Call Flow Control. The second or additional Call Flow Controls would have 1: 2: 3: and make you have *281, *282, *283 allowing you to toggle any of those Call Flow Controls at any time.

Although, through all of this I can see the point. I just checked a couple boxes. While the feature itself is called Call Flow Control when you choose it from the Applications Menu. In v14 under Feature Codes it is still labeled as Daynight but using the Call Flow Control extension that was created.

Night mode, or dark mode, is a setting offered on many digital devices to decrease screen brightness and reduce eye strain in the process. Instead of featuring a predominantly white background with black text, the typical dark mode displays a black background with white or colored text or shifts lighter colors more toward pink and red instead of blue. The contrast and colors used in night mode reduce glare and help our eyes adjust more easily to surrounding light, leading to less eye strain and easier, comfortable reading.

In addition to disrupting the sleep cycle, too bright of a screen in a dark room may cause digital eye strain. Night mode reduces the stark contrast between the screen and dark room, and can reduce some of the symptoms that contribute to the feeling of eye strain.

If putting down your phone or computer one to two hours before bed and/or switching to night mode settings does not eliminate eye strain or problems sleeping, talk to an ophthalmologist to find out if any other conditions could be contributing.

I have an Arlo Pro in a hallway that always has a light on and My Arlo Pro keeps switching to night mode even when night vision is turned off. It only takes black and white video in low light settings. The only difference is that with night vision turned off it doesn't turn on the IR lights.

To test the camera, move it temp to a more lit area( or increase lighting in the area ) and see if it switches over to color ( Arlo and PRO may have different switch over points for low light levels )

If the camera is in a VERY well lit area it will display in color, so to answer you question, yes there are times when it records in color. The problem I have is when the sun is not shining my hallway is iluminated with a light bulb, which gives ample amount of lighting because my regular Arlo Wire Free works fine. Now if i substitute the Arlo Pro in it's place, night mode is triggered and I only get a very poor quality black and white video. If I take the batteries out it will record it's first video perfectly with great picture quality, but then every video after that will be the poor B&W video.

This to me seems like a firmware issue, because low light sittings should only trigger night mode if that setting is enabled (That's how the regular Arlo's work). And I know the Arlo Pro's can take good video in low light because it will do it once after a restart, just not after that.

Hey @TomMac. It looks like a number of people are complaining of the same issue. I contacted Netgear and the person I spoke with didn't have a clue on what he was doing. Just wasted 80 minutes on the phone. Do you have a way to speak with the netgear team to let them know they have a design issue here. The reason I say it's a design issue is because the regular Arlo's don't have this issue and there is no reason turning off night mode only turns it off 1/2 way. I'm sure this could be fixed with a firmware update. We just need to get this to the right people.

The problem for me is that I don't NEED night vision. In fact the night vision is so blown out that I can't even see any details. This happens because I have a motion sensing spotlight and it is way to bright for night vision and the contrast in the highlights are all blown out.

If you are still experiencing this issue, please contact the Arlo Support Team to further investigate. You will find several options for contacting support in the provided link. If you have any additional questions/concerns feel free to private message me. I would be happy to help.

For personalized support specific to the Arlo products you own, access Support from within the Arlo iOS or Android App. Simply login to your Arlo App, go to Settings, Support, then select the Arlo product you would like support for.

I need to setup a night mode so all incoming calls get routed to an outside number. *271 for example could be a button she manually pushes. I tried time conditions. It says activated but never actually does anything, I still get the IVR

For various illnesses, white light can be very annoying, in my case, it is due to chronic migraine, could the possibility of a night mode be studied, as many applications have already been implemented?

It's very frustrating. I held on to my XS max even though I got the 11 pro max just to compare them, and the apps on my XS max freeze and crash a lot less if at all. I don't think I've ever had the camera app crash on my old phone not one time. But on the 11 pro max almost every time i take burst photos it crashes. I might just switch back to my old one if they don't fix it. Also the new screen they used is trash and had scratches all over it with in a week of light use.

This has already led to me losing memories with friends, loved ones, and pets. Live Photos are more important to many customers and there is currently no way to have the functionality I had with my last few iPhones.

I just found this looking for answers on how to turn the night mode off. THE most frustrating thing ever, having to do this over and over and it ruins pictures, delays 'quick' shots, etc. Well - y'all know!

Apple removed this feature I used and loved every night when going to bed with my watch on so I could track sleep. Simple smooth scroll gone with clunky poor function auto or 10 steps to do what used to take one. For ultra watches, please revert to allowing the scroll wheel to use night mode.

The auto mode for night mode does not work. I sat in a taxi and watched it have some type of attack as it could not decide if it was day or night. I only like to use night mode in pitch black and preferred to manually switch. It had a satisfying feel to it with the crown.

Incredibly dumb of apple OS team to turn off the ability to manually change watch ultra color/night mode using the crown. It was the most used feature for me as I had to do this many times when watch gets very distracting.

This is silly. I wish Apple would let us know before performing the update. I enjoyed turning on night mode even during day time manually because of the cool appearance. I hope we could get it back next update Apple!

With the newest OS update, the crown doesn't activate night mode anymore. Night Mode works only on Wayfinder watch face, and you have to select the "Auto" option when selecting the Wayfinder watch face.
