Hello Gardeners

Please save the date for our first garden workday and open house of
2011 which we'll be holding as part of a city-wide community garden
celebration of Earth Day on Sunday, April 17th!

Mark your calendars and invite your family and friends!

Sunday, April 17th in partnership with the Los Angeles Community
Garden Council:
10 -11am breakfast for gardeners (provided by Milagro), social hour
for gardeners to meet and get to know each other, announcements
regarding garden-related matters, discussion of workday tasks (this
10-11am hour is for gardeners only, the public will be welcomed
starting at 11am)

11am - 3pm - Open house and workday open to the community and led by
gardeners. We'll be weeding, mulching, touching up the beds with some
fresh paint, trimming some plants, welcoming folks who may wish to
tour the garden

We'll celebrate Mother Earth and our special guest, Tim Dundon (aka
the "guru of doo doo" among other nicknames), who has generously
provided organic compost to the gardening community for many years.

Please plan to come out for all or at least part of the day! We need
gardeners to assist with leading the workday activities and answer
questions as we expect we'll be getting many folks who are interested
in giving an hour of their time that day to volunteer or perhaps just
tour through the garden.

Remember, workdays are mandatory per your agreement with Milagro
Allegro not to mention just MORE FUN when you all come out. We don't
expect this to be a labor intensive day but do need everyone's help in
maintaining our beautiful space.

Please pass this annoucement on to other gardeners when you are at the
garden as some folks are not on email yet.
