to Milagro Allegro Community Garden
Hello All

We have a request from Crystal Gonzalez, a Master Gardener Trainee,
for a tour of Milagro with some high school students tomorrow
(wednesday, April 13th from about 10am -1pm).

Here's more info about her request:

Would it be possible to take some H.S. students to visit the Millagro
Allegro Community Garden this upcoming Wednesday April 11th, anytime
between 10 and 1? The idea is for students to see what a community
garden is like and (possibly) interview a participant. I’m really
sorry for the short notice but the organization we partner with was
unable to follow through with another garden.

A little more about the trip: We’re starting a garden with youth at
Lincoln High School. As part of the project students are doing
research in surrounding communites: kinda cool because our students
will be dividing up into small groups, one group will be comparing
food offered in grocery stores in Lincoln heights to those in south
pasadena, one group will look at food landscapes (fast food, convience
stores etc. in their area) and one group is to look at a community
garden as an example of a community solution. It would be great if
they could see Milagro Allegro!

Please let me know if you think there is anyone at Milagro who might
be able to talk to our students.

Thank you!

Crystal
