Hi everyone,
My name is Bobby Lansing, I am a flyer and a lightweight programmer
with VBA and C++ code. I joined the group because of the connection to
FalconView, which is an excellent program, and I am interested in how
I can get involved in its further development. Honestly, listening to
the conversations, I'm not sure I am in the right place because these
conversations are way over my head as a simple ATO parsing programmer.
Again not sure if this is the right crowd, but definitely interesting
in working with TaskView. I have no needs and don't really need help
as of yet, just interested in the community.

Thanks,
Bobby

Bobby,

As with most open source development, I'd suggest directly contacting
their developer community. At a quick glance, it looks like a lot of
their development discussions are accessible through their online Trac
forums: http://www.falconview.org/trac/FalconView/discussion/

They also seem to have a mild presence on IRC (multiuser chat):
irc://irc.freenode.net/##falconview

Cheers!

I'm Ben Francis, president of ColaLUG.org and South Carolina Guardsman. I've been following and using OSS software since 1999.

My interests are netbooting thin clients, deploying Linux in a heterogeneous environment, and convincing others of the wisdom of this approach.

Lately CUPS and Samba are eating my lunch when authenticating to Windows
printers.

My name is Robert Delano, research scientist at GTRI. My interests
are currently in OWF development and finding technical resources to
help that process. I have the developer and admin guide, but
interacting with other developers would be great.

Cheers,
Robert

Rob,

Check out owfgoss.org and ozone-developers (Google Group).  Both exist to support the OWF community.

My name is Dustan Adkins, and I am associated with the Opticks project, an expandable remote sensing and imagery analysis software platform that is free and open source under the LGPL [1]. Opticks has military background and was open sourced in 2007 [2].

My interests include algorithms (especially AI-related algorithms), computer architecture, and (obviously) open source software. By being on this list, I hope to stay up to date on the latest FOSS developments from the mil-oss perspective. I also hope to make a shameless plug for Opticks from time to time.

Thanks,

Dustan

I am Charlie Stirk from CostVision, and am involved in the open source
STEP Class Library (SCL).
https://github.com/mpictor/StepClassLibrary
SCL parses an EXPRESS schema and generates C, C++ or python class
libraries and a part21 file reader. STEP is best known for use as a
neutral format for mechanical CAD tools, and is used by BRL-CAD.
There are other EXPRESS schemas for Building Information Management,
electro-mechanical assemblies, FEA/CFD, machining, systems
engineering, product life cycle support, etc.

My interests are engineering software that use STEP or related
standards. I would be interested in finding other software projects
that could use SCL.
