Has anyone thought of photographing the demolition of the current Shambhala Center? I know it sounds a bit odd, but it would be an amazing exercise in impermanence...

Dear students, teachers and community of Nalanda Miksang,
Greetings from your seniors teachers and directors, Miriam Hall and John McQuade.
We are writing to you today, in order to raise funds to publish our first book.
So far, we have raised $3100, which is half of the $5000 we need. If you have already donated, thank you! April 1 is our deadline to raise $5000.
Way of Seeing: The Practice of Nalanda Miksang Contemplative Photography (Level I) , is currently in the editing stages. This is a co-authored book by John McQuade and Miriam Hall. We are aiming to publish this book through CreateSpace, a self-publishing module on Amazon.com.
See a draft of the introduction attached as a Word document. Please do not share this document, as it is an early draft - it's just to give you a taste of the view and flavor of this book.
This publication will be under the new publishing arm of Nalanda Miksang, Drala Publications. For now, we are asking for money for the publication and we don't yet have a non-profit to funnel the donations through, which one day we hope to have in place. In lieu of this, Nalanda Miksang teacher Ann Hall of Madison, WI has offered to accept donations for the book and do accounting for the project.
We are seeking funding to pay for these components:
$2000 Book layout, design and promotion costs (local Madison people)
$1000 Web design (Word Press design by Dylan Bryne)
$1000 Editing (private copy editing by Lissa McLaughlin)
$1000 Amazon costs (publishing, design and e-book publishing, as well as Library of Congress and ISBN numbers)
Our total funding needed at this point is $5000. We have $3100 already.
If we are able to raise more, these funds can be saved for either covering unexpected costs or for future publishing projects. For instance, John McQuade and Maxine Sidran are working on a Mannequin book, and there are Level II books in the works to follow up this Level I title.
We hope that the book will be ready for publication as of fall of 2014. A lot of this depends on getting funding on time, and being able to get through the editing processes (there are multiple!). We hope to have funding secured by April 1, 2014 if possible. The earlier the better.
At this point, you cannot write off your gift, as we are not yet a federal non-profit.
However, any donation, no matter how small, will be received with great appreciation! Please consider asking your local Miksang community to contribute, whether as a group or as individuals.
In lieu of doing a campaign on Indiegogo or the like, we are trying this fundraising first within the society we have built. Because these are not donations to a non-profit, we can happily offer some thank you gifts in response to larger donations:
$1000 donation and above
A very special gift of a signed, rare, original black and white print from John McQuade. In addition, your full name (however preferred) in the acknowledgements of the book, prominently displayed on our website, and a personally signed copy from Miriam and John.
$500 donation and above
Your full name (however preferred) in the acknowledgements of the book, prominently displayed on our website, and a personally signed copy from Miriam and John.
$200 donation and above
A personally signed copy from Miriam and John, and acknowledgement on the website.
$100 donation and above
A personally signed copy from Miriam and John.
Any donation (even under $100) will be happily and gratefully accepted, and listed on a thank you list on the website.
Please direct any questions to Ann Hall and/or Miriam Hall, and any donations to Ann Hall.

From the Miksang Dralas, from John and from Miriam -
Much love to you all.
