Hello Chicago area Miksangers,  I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the summer - hopefully taking advantage of practicing a little bit of Miksang along the way....every day...if not with your camera then hopefully with your eyes...

I wanted to let you know about Miriam's class coming up in a little over a month at Windhorse Retreat Center in Wisconsin.  For those of you who have been on retreats with us in the past you know that 1)Miriam is a extremely experienced and kind teacher and 2) overnight retreats are great fun; building community and making new friends.  Lady bugs, chocolate, wine, good food, and friends are my fondest memories of these retreats.  That aside, in addition to being absorbed in beautiful nature which is no doubt fantastic for landscape and nature Miksang you will also learn another contemplative practice - Haiku.  It's a joy to connect these two practices.

Below is the link if you would like more information or to register:

In case you don't know, Miriam Hall and John McQuade's new Way Of Seeing book is now available.  Click below for additional information about the book:

http://miksangwayofseeing.com/the-authors - click on the SHOP tab and you can purchase at Create Space or at Amazon.com

If you are interested in taking a on-line class with Miriam using the book you can do so by registering here (class starts on-line on August 24)

That's all folks,  Be well!

Julie

Really please think, from now on think that dharma practice is an art to change perception. And once you change the perception really, then you are released from all this paranoia. And that’s enlightenment. Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche
