Now is the time for Non Violent Communication. We need it more now
than ever. With Robert Gonzales coming in January, here's a good
preparatory workshop at the Madison Shambhala Center.

Just a reminder of our upcoming Compassionate Communication workshop
Nov 18 (evening) 19, 20 (9 to 5 both days).
Madison Shambhala Center, 408 S Baldwin St, Madison WI. We need you
to register as soon as you can so we have a good count for the
weekend.

We are very pleased to have Paul Shippee, a long time student of
Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Marshall Rosenberg, returning to Madison
He will lead the weekend of talks and discussions centered around
communicating effectively with loved ones and coworkers. Find your
voice, say what's needed in a helpful way, regret less. We are
pleased to have a diverse group of participants coming and we have
room for more. Won't you join us?

Please see our website www.madison.shambhala.org for more details and
to register.

;-)  No offense, but what on earth does compassionate communication have to do with Miksang?

I should have stated it more directly.
We are working in the applied activities of contemplation with Miksang (and with Writing Practice). However, it's best to take what we learn/hone and develop in practices like Miksang (as well as meditation, though quite a few Miksangers are not also meditators, which is fine) a few steps further. The Sakyong, who is now our teacher, for Miksangers as well, has said numerous times recently that "Enlightened Society begins with one person talking to another person."

Bring all you've learned from Miksang to a practice like this and everyone will benefit.
