I am writing to let you know that Part III of the Shambhala Art curriculum is finally here!
I will be offering it April 11-13, 2014 at the Madison Shambhala Center, 408 S. Baldwin.
I hope you can join me and play along.
The program builds on what we covered in Parts I-II: Square One, First Thought Best Thought, and repeats some practices as a basis for going further: twenty-minute dance, meditation, etc.
However, we begin to add in two key and very fun practices: abstract/spontaneous calligraphy and object arrangement. As well, we dig deeper into the perception teachings of Chogyam Trungpa to see what we can find out about how to see the whole creative process - including editing - more clearly.
I encourage you to come if you can. It will start with a talk on Friday night, which is open to the public, and run both full days Saturday and Sunday. In January of 2015, I will become authorized to teach parts IV-V, so we can move forward to the "end" as a group within a year.
Also, I haven't forgotten requests to make "play dates" to do contemplative movement and collage. I have you all in my mind as I move around my schedule always tinkering to make time for practice in groups.
