Sunday July 6 ride post

Good ride this past Thurs with only Gavin and I attending....up Pneuma to 727, down to, and up, Stone's Throw back to the parking lot. 1 hr 50 m elapsed and enough for a 55 year old Dad with two toddlers and me sucking serious wind.

For tomorrow, something new once again. We will meet at the Ranger Station again, ride up the highway to Station Flats and ride just a short distance past the cattle gate, cross the bridge and head left up Diamond Valley to the new trail, Race of Hearts (really mellow and not steep at all) which starts at the base of Race of Spades. We will climb ROH to the intersection with Pneuma (with Family Guy across the road) and climb up the rest of Family Guy to the top, then cross over the road and climb up the rest of Pneuma past the Special K intersection to the top. Once there we will quietly observe the numerous spots where Scotty has split open his body on various sections and descend down to Moose Packers which we will ride down to Ridgeback, climb Ridgeback 4 to the intersection with Ridgeback 3 (just short of the Snakes and Ladders intersection) and then head all down hill back to finish on Ridgeback 1 and 2. There are numerous opportunities to add or subtract. Ride time will be 2:30 to 2:45 and nothing too technical. Keep in mind that the Scotty blood-letting spots are not really that technical....he just had a few senior moments in those sections.

9:15 meeting time at the Fullerton parking lot/Rangers Station for a 9:30 start time. Let us know if you are coming.
