Ride report from Tuesday July 8

Really fun ride last night on a suggestion from Jon Webb (who dumped the roadie nerds to ride with me)....parked in West Bragg parking lot (where the 'Scott Darling is a knob' posters are still up) and headed up Bragging Rights to Merlin where we headed up counter clockwise to the intersection with Kestrel. Big bomb down that trail with a few minor climbs with some really fun berms toward the bottom where a black bear mom and three cubs are currently hanging out and were spotted by some e-bikers (no word on whether the bear cleaned up any e-bikers for us)....followed by a really fast and fun ride out on the Tom Snow trail which is essentially a single track through the trees and cut line, back to the base of Merlin for a small climb out back to Braggin' Rights for a fast bomb out while teaching some younger riders about etiquette and saying please and thank you...fuckers....angry old white guy on patrol.

Approx 2 hrs 10 minutes elapsed time with Jon waiting patiently on many climbs (thank you baby Jesus for his 3 hour gravel ride on Monday) and a beautiful night. This ride is recommended for a nice bit of exercise and truly great views on the top of Merlin and Kestrel.

Nice.  I did that ride last Tuesday with a buddy from out of town.  Kestrel makes you pay with a couple of punchy climbs at the end before the descent!
