Happy Birthday to my baby boy! You would be 36. Would you be married? Children? Career? Live in LA? New York? China? India? Australia? Sweden? Ireland? Spain? Italy? Or any other country you visited and loved? You didn't know Face Book or smart phones...all came here after you left us. On FB today Sameer posted a wonderful birthday wish for you. I know you know because you know everything now. And did you see all your friends who "liked" it? You are so loved and missed!. 

They say when you lose your parent you lose your past. When you lose your spouse you lose your present. When you lose you child you lose your future. Sometimes I feel like I lost all three. We have Katie, Peter and Sophia here for Christmas and we had a chocolate cake tonight with a candle in it for your birthday, the way we always had a Christmas Eve dinner and called it your birthday dinner...that is, until you were old enough to tell me you knew it was a Christmas Eve dinner and that was okay. Always so sweet. Always so giving. Never a problem. Oh, you would LOVE Sophia!!!! And you would have so much fun with her. And she would love you back so much. She knows her Uncle Michael, very well, apparently. Smart girl. And therein lies the future.

I love you and miss you so much. I can't wait until I see you again.
