I just read the first 3 chapters, and I like it! My only suggestion
is that you acknowledge Joel Spolsky since you used so much of his
material in the rewriting section. Every programmer should have a
link to his blog (Joel on Software).

I'm glad you liked it! I will add the reference, thanks for pointing
that out. It is easy to think "I'll just add that later and continue
my writing" and then forget...
