This list has been pretty dead for a while, and the last PDF was generated back in Feb. Can someone talk about the status of the book?
Thanks, ;ted

Hi Ted,
We have signed a contract with a publisher and we are in the process
of refining the book to their standards. :-)
We expect this process to take at least 4-5 months. In the meantime,
you can download the version we made available in February. Later on
there will be a 'preview' available from the publisher.

Great job with the book.
I contain such a good summary of the forces of good design that I'll be recommending it to anyone that's looking to get better at design, not just the people facing the need for big refactorings.
It occurs to me that there is a cross over between the Mikado Method and the way Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) talk about "Chunking" as a way to find alternative solutions.
In summary, you can guide someone's thoughts by asking framing questions like:
Chunk-up: "What for?"
Chunking-down: "How?"
Chunking-across: "How else?"
This allows you to find new solutions to problems by chunking up , then across, then down.
The Mikado graph records your process of chunking down from goal to details.... but if the path you are taking seems too hard, the mikado graph makes it easy to chunk back up so you can try chunking across to new alternatives before chunking down again.
Again.. great book. Easy to read. Packed full of value.
Cheers
