Feature request: User-specified http "accept" header / mime types - eg for testing xhtml

I would like to be able to send an http Accept: header set to some string of my choice, for example application/xhtml+xml or whatever. Would you be kind enough to consider this feature request?

HTTP modification is a long term, I don't think I have enough time to do that.
