The Martin Luther King, Jr., Research and Education Institute at Stanford University is seeking college students or recent college graduates in the humanities and social sciences for temporary, part-time data entry positions. Document specialists will enter data on correspondence, speeches, sermons, audio and video clips, court cases, and other documents related to the life and work of Martin Luther King, Jr. into a King documents database. Basic computer skills are required. Experience with library research and with an online database is preferred. Candidates must be able to enter data using King Institute procedures, adhere to deadlines, exercise sound judgment, pay strict attention to detail, write concisely, and perform basic research tasks. Applicants must currently be students at the college level or graduates; background in the study of African-American history preferred. Experience working with primary documents a plus.
