Hello Backyard Gardeners,

You may not be familiar with our farmers market and efforts to make organic, seasonal produce available in East Palo Alto, so I wanted to reach out to you personally and invite you to join us and celebrate the return of the East Palo Alto Community Farmers Market.  Successfully entering its fifth season, the EPA Community Farmers Market is the only source of local, organic produce in East Palo Alto (besides our own backyards!) and an amazing resource promoting healthy eating and healthy living in East Palo Alto.

The celebration will take place on Wednesday, June 27th and will include a live cooking demonstration by JobTrain's Culinary Arts Institute students, bike-blender smoothies, art activities for youth, dance performances, zumba, and more!  The celebration will run from 12:00-3:00 at the East Palo Alto Community Farmers Market, located at the Ravenswood Family Health Center on 1798 Bay Road.  We would love for you all to join us.

See the attached invitation in English and Spanish and help us spread the word!  If you've ever been curious about the market, this would be a great time to come check it out for yourself!  I hope to see you there.

If you are unable to join us at the market but would like to support the market consider joining The Root Box.  The Root Box is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program run by Collective Roots from our market, and it is a great way to purchase organic fruits and vegetables on a weekly basis and support our farmers and the existence of a market in East Palo Alto.  See the attached flyer to learn more and sign up online!
