Oracle: Invalid operation on a closed object / Connection must be open for this operation

Hi everyone,

We have recently encountered some intermittent errors during our business processes, specifically when using the "short business" process style as described in the Firefly Migration documentation (https://doc.fireflymigration.com/writing-shorter-code-using-the-businessprocess-class.html).

The errors we are seeing are:

Invalid operation on a closed object/ at Firefly.Box.Data.MonitoredDatabaseRunnerClass.myMonitorStrategy.<>c__DisplayClass9_0.b__0()

and

Connection must be open for this operation/ at Firefly.Box.Data.MonitoredDatabaseRunnerClass.myMonitorStrategy.<>c__DisplayClass9_0.b__0()

These errors do not appear all the time, but they occur sporadically. Our processes run a couple of times per minute to process files.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues or have any insights into what might be causing these errors? Any guidance on how to resolve them would be greatly appreciated.

This error indicates that something closes (disposes) your connection before this business process is run.

It could be some using statement that you've written with the basic connection - or a database disconnection for another reason and this is just the next error you get after something you've run caused the database to disconnect.

I don't think it's related to "short" way of using BP
