This approach is really cool.

Did you test how it performs in comparison to the straight forward approach of Joins and Groups?

The main advantage is that its possible in cases where joins are not.

Consider customer with orders & contacts

Note - only to use this when you have a reasonable amount of rows per parent - the limit is around 8000 chars for all the children
