Soap Box || Branch Councillor & Department Legislator

Hi,

The time has come to know about the Branch Councilor for the next academic year. The Branch Councilor acts as the student representative of the department and is in-charge of handling Placements and Internships.

This time, there are two candidates contesting for the post :

•  Lakshmi Prasad
• Shashank Jujare
  

Department Legislator post has been introduced for the first time in the constitution. Department Legislator will be representative of the department in SAC. This time, there is only one candidate contesting for this post:

• Naveen Baskhar

We will be having a soapbox where both the candidates will present their ideas and new initiatives. All the present 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th year B.Tech / DD students are requested to attend the soapbox. It will not only help in evaluating their candidature but also act as a platform for students to provide their inputs to the candidates.

Date : 09th March (Wednesday) 

Time : 19:30

Order of presentations:

1. Naveen Baskhar
2. Lakshmi Prasad or Shashank Jujare (Decided by Toss)

The tentative schedule is as follows.

1) Each candidate will be given 15 minutes to present his ideas after which the audience can ask questions. 

2) Then the current Branch Councillor (Saketh) & IPR core (Vydhehi)  will ask 3 questions based on manifesto. The order of presentation will be decided by a coin toss. (25+25)

3) After the candidates are done with the questions from the audience, they will be given 5 minutes to question the other candidate. (5+5)

4) After this the audience can ask questions to both candidates simultaneously for evaluation. (5+5)

5) All the students will cast their votes at the end of the soapbox.

Tentative duration of the soapbox : 1:30 hour 

Students are requested to make yourselves free to attend the soapbox as it will help in deciding the better candidate for the next year!
